Emmerdale star tipped for shocking exit after eight years

Emmerdale star Olivia Bromley is being tipped for a shocking exit after eight years on the ITV soap.

First appearing as Dawn Taylor in 2018, the actor has been involved in several huge storylines, including overcoming drug addiction and sex work, and the shooting of corrupt police officer DI Malone.

According to The Sun, Bromley’s time in the village will be coming to an end, with soap bosses deciding they have done all they

 can with the character.

Per the report, the soap actor is reportedly being written out and is set to film her final scenes in the village later this year.

Her departure has seemingly surprised her fellow cast members, who are said to be shocked to see their popular colleague face the axe.

The soap does seem to be lining up a potential split for Dawn and Joe Tate, and in Sunday’s episode, Dawn warned Joe that she couldn’t stay with him if he’d deliberately destroyed Holly’s memorial.

Of course, Joe did just that. The villain didn’t think twice about desecrating Holly’s grave, knowing it would cause drama and chaos throughout the village, particularly for Moira and her loved ones.

Destroying Holly’s memorial also made a mockery of Kim’s vow to preserve the place, putting her in a precarious position.

“This is one of the most utterly vile things Joe Tate has ever done – and that’s saying something,” our Emmerdale insider said. “Moira is going through hell right now, and when she finds out that he’s trashed Holly’s memorial, it’s going to cause her untold heartbreak.

“Moira is currently languishing in prison for crimes she didn’t commit, but when she finds out what Joe has done, there’s a good chance she’ll be moved to murder him!”

Digital Spy reached out for comment, but the show has a long-standing policy of not commenting on cast contracts.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
