‘S.W.A.T.’ Exiles Cast: Shemar Moore Introduces New Squad in Spinoff

Shemar Moore led S.W.A.T. Exiles in introducing its cast members in the new S.W.A.T. spinoff.

On Monday, Oct. 13, the actor behind Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson took to Instagram with a video of himself and his fellow castmates introducing themselves and their characters.

“Here we go 🔥🔥🔥,” Moore captioned his update. “Meet the cast of SWAT EXILES!!!”

In the video itself, he added, “You know what time it is. S.W.A.T. Exiles is coming. Shemar Moore in the building, Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson.”
Others who introduced themselves included: Freddy Miyares as Ethan Cole, Lucy Barrett as Samantha “Sammy” Bishop, Ronen Rubenstein as Jude Reddick, Zyra Gorecki as Cassidy Han and Adain Bradley as Malik Henderson.

To end the clip, Moore instructed fans, “Pay attention, follow S.W.A.T. HQ.”

Previously, it was announced that Jay Harrington (Sergeant David “Deacon” Kay) and Patrick St. Esprit (Commander Robert Hicks) would reprise their roles with an appearance in the first episode of the spinoff.

“It sucks. It’s sad,” he declared, explaining that he gave  a speech on set to share the news with S.W.A.T.‘s cast and crew.

“Uncanceled twice two years in a row,” Moore added. “Canceled. Uncanceled. Canceled. Uncanceled. Now, I don’t know my history, but how many shows get to say that? I’m going to say none.”

CBS initially canceled S.W.A.T. after Season 6 but changed its mind and renewed the show for Season 7, which the network said would be its last. However, in 2024, CBS shocked fans by renewing the series for Season 8, which premiered in October 2024.

Although Sony Pictures Television ordered 10 episodes of S.W.A.T. Exiles, it will not air on CBS and has not yet found a home. A premiere date has not been set, either.
