Junior’s exit storyline revealed in EastEnders as he confronts a killer

Junior Knight’s (Micah Balfour) exit storyline begins next week in EastEnders.
A spokesperson for the BBC One soap told us: ‘We can confirm Micah will be leaving EastEnders later this year. We wish him all the best for the future.’
Micah, also known for his role as Doctor Bailey in Emmerdale, joined the cast of EastEnders in May 2024 as Junior, the son of George Knight (Colin Salmon).
Junior quickly established himself as a bit of a love rat, as he took pleasure in flirting with Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) and sleeping with Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), all while being married to a woman called Monique.
Monique and Junior have a son together called Xavier, but Monique took the young lad from Junior when she found out about him being unfaithful.
They moved away from Walford, leaving Junior heartbroken.
Despite his upset, that didn’t stop him from charming other women, but it was George’s ex-wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) that caught his eye the most.

Their connection ultimately led to an affair that lasted the majority of 2024. It was exposed at Christmas time, when Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) gifted Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) the USB stick that confirmed Cindy’s betrayal.
Junior’s final story in Walford begins with the aftermath of the ordeal Okie put Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) through.
In upcoming episodes, Junior and George try and support Kojo, who is desperate to move back into his flat.

Later, as a lonely Junior confides in George and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) about missing Xavier, Kojo spies an opportunity and heads back into his flat.
In the week, George and Junior struggle to remain civil over everything that’s happened, leading to Junior revealing that he’s booked a flight back to Dubai, and accepted a job there.
Worried about losing his son once more, George tries to make amends with Junior, but tensions rise again when Junior learns that his dad is planning to send Kojo back to Ghana.
Desperate, Junior pays Ravi a visit, but how exactly will this play out?
As part of new producer Ben Wadey’s shake up to the show, Junior’s sister Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) is also leaving.

Recently, fans wondered if a clue to her departure storyline was dropped in an episode.
