Is Harry Mitchell dead in EastEnders? BBC soap fans in ‘tears’ as kidnap plot ends dramatically
EastEnders aired Harry’s dramatic escape from Okie, but the mechanic was thrown unconscious in the middle of a road
EastEnders favourite Harry Mitchell has finally escaped from evil drug dealer Okie; however, his life now hangs in the balance.
As fans of the BBC soap will know, Harry (Elijah Holloway) was forced into selling drugs for Ravi Gulati ( Aaron Thiara) and his accomplice Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu).
The criminal duo soon dragged vulnerable Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) into their illicit operation, and later abducted Harry when he threatened to go to the police in order to free his friend from the drugs ring.
Elsewhere, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) returned from his trip to Cardiff to search for his missing son, Harry, and headed straight for Kojo’s flat, where he banged on the door and called for Harry.
Inside, Okie ensured Kojo kept quiet so Teddy didn’t hear them. But Teddy is hellbent on finding Harry, and fearing he is in trouble, he turned to George Knight (Colin Salmon) and Junior (Micah Balfour) for help.
Teddy confirmed that Kojo was being taken advantage of and explained everything about the drug operation. George wanted to call the police while Teddy shared his fears of the repercussions for Kojo if he did.
Meanwhile, Kojo put a plan into action and told Okie that Harry was seriously ill and desperately needed painkillers.
Realising that Harry could die, Okie left to get him medicine, urging Kojo not to leave the flat in the meantime. Once alone, Kojo searched the flat and eventually found the key he needed to free Harry from his chains.
However, Harry was too weak to walk, and in heartbreaking scenes, he told Kojo to leave him in the flat and get help.
Kojo reluctantly fled and found George, Teddy, and Junior, leading them to the flat to find Harry. But when they arrived, Harry was gone, having already been taken away by Okie.
They all rushed outside and found Harry being put into a van, but Okie and his workers dropped his body and ran away when they heard sirens approaching the scene.
George could only apologise to his brother as it was revealed that he had called the police. Teddy screamed as Harry’s life hung in the balance, but will he be okay?
The tense scenes have left EastEnders fans emotional, with one person writing on X: “Once again Kojo and Harry’s friendship #EastEnders”, followed by crying emojis.
A second simply stated: “Oh Harry 🙁 #eastenders”, while a third chimed in: “Harry & Kojo’s friendship #eastenders (loveheart).

Next week’s drama in Walford begins with Ravi making a return to the Square, much to Harry’s annoyance, who appears to have survived his kidnap ordeal.
Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) confronts Harry about Ravi’s role in the violent abduction, as she struggles to believe that her boyfriend could have committed such a crime.
However, tension escalates as Okie threatens Kojo, demanding to know what he disclosed to the police, and orders him to send a text to Harry.
Across the Square, Harry’s battle with substance abuse rages on. As he grapples with withdrawal symptoms, he attempts to buy from a drug dealer, but a message from Kojo halts him.
Arriving on the scene, Harry finds Okie threatening Kojo with a knife and rushes to his aid. Kojo manages to escape the tense situation, leading to a violent clash between Harry and Okie.
In the heat of the fight, Harry inadvertently stabs Okie. Kojo quickly locates Teddy Mitchell (played by Roland Manookian), who hurries to the scene to assist his son, Harry.
Will Okie pull through after the stabbing? Viewers will have to tune into next week’s episodes to see how the drama unfolds.
