Honestly, toddlers and Golden Retrievers are meant to be together. Their personalities are perfectly matched—one bursting with energy and the other that’s full of patience!

Well, that’s exactly the case with Brinkley the Golden and his little human. In a recent TikTok video posted by @brinkleyfromva, the sweet pup is clearly just trying to sneak in a good nap while his loyal companion is on the hunt for a playmate.

Brinkley is lying on the floor, completely surrounded by building blocks and magnetic toys—and by surrounded, you should think crime scene! The toddler has outlined Brinkley’s entire body exactly as he’s lying there, and once I read Mom’s video caption, you can’t unsee it.

Mom wrote, “In the household justice system, cases of missing snacks and chewed furniture are considered especially high priority. The elite detectives who cause (and sometimes solve) these crimes are members of an elite unit—the Canine Toddler Unit. These are their stories. DUN DUN.”
