EastEnders fans spot closing credits change after Lauren’s life-altering decision
EastEnders fans spotted a subtle change to Lauren Branning’s name following her dramatic wedding to Peter Beale – were you one of the eagle-eyed viewers to notice this tiny alteration in the credits?
Tuesday’s (30 September) episode saw the couple finally tie the knot in The Queen Vic after a tumultuous few days, though there was a twist as Max Branning returned to Walford to see his daughter get married.
The nuptials were a surprise to Lauren, with Peter planning the entire thing and setting up the big day in The Queen Vic unbeknownst to his bride.
Despite attempting to run away from the big day, an emotional talk with Stacey Slater helped Lauren come around and decide to marry Peter.
Following the episode, eagle-eyed EastEnders fans spotted that the beloved character, who is played by Jacqueline Jossa, is now listed as ‘Lauren Beale’ in the credits.
“Nah I want them to stay married. But yeah Branning-Beale would have been better,” posted another fan, while a third echoed this sentiment as they wrote: “I’m hoping they stay married but they could make it Branning-Beale.”
A fourth wrote: “I actually want them together. But I don’t like Lauren Beale. I’d much rather take Lauren Branning-Beale that’s got a nice ring to it. They’re childhood sweethearts who deserve to be together. Sorry not sorry.”
The fallout from the wedding and Max’s return will continue in tonight’s episode with four devastating exits set to take place in the very near future.
After discovering Max’s unexpected entanglement with Zoe Slater, Stacey was heartbroken given their previous romantic relationship. She catches Max and Zoe kissing, and becomes enraged when she discovers that Max had attempted to help Zoe track down her son.
Following a fiery confrontation between Zoe and Stacey, Max visited Stacey, and the pair spoke about their history, with Max admitting that he still had feelings for her. Stacey remained firm, however, insisting that their relationship was in the past.
How will the rest of Stacey’s exit play out?
