Viewers of EastEnders were sent into a frenzy this week, as one cast member left them convinced a scene had been leaked.

Strictly Come Dancing star Balvinder Sopal shared a behind-the-scenes snap of what looked like someone in a hospital bed. She appeared to hint she was on a snack break, as she continues training for BBC’s Strictly.

But the fact she’s also continued to film for EastEnders, where she plays Suki Panesar-Unwin, has left fans wondering if the recent Instagram story hinted at a scene. With the EastEnders hashtag included it certainly teased it was an upcoming soap scene.

In the picture, Balvinder is sat by a hospital bed while across the room, a camera operator is filming. It’s not clear who is in the bed, but someone is definitely in it.

The picture has her Strictly co-star Julian Caillon tagged too, so what are the chances it’s a bit of fun amid Strictly rehearsals? Some fans wondered if it was Julian in the bed, all to be revealed on Saturday night, perhaps a glimpse of what his celebrity dance partner gets up to in soap land.

But some fans of EastEnders were scared, believing Balvinder had actually teased an upcoming hospital scene. With it not having aired yet, fans predicted it was a leaked scene where a character would end up in hospital.

Viewers wondered if Suki’s wife Eve could be the unlucky victim, as others wondered if her stepson Ravi Gulati would be involved. Taking to X, fans frantically shared the image after seeing it online, and began theorising what was going on, and what Balvinder might have been hinting at.

A fan wrote: “I hope it’s not Eve!” as another said: “Eve Panesar-Unwin get behind me NOW.” A third fan commented: “I hate to say it but it does look like it could be her.”

Another theory read: “I think it will be Eve, and probably because of Ravi’s mess.” A separate theory suggested: “I hope it’s to do with Ravi’s stuff and NOT Eve.”

But some fans did speculate it was Strictly related given Balvinder tagged Julian. A fan said: “Maybe it’s to do with Strictly like filming stuff for the VT.”

It comes as in the week, the soap actress confessed finding one of the dances on the show so difficult, she didn’t think she could do it. Balvinder said: “The rumba, it was the hardest thing to learn.”

She added: “Literally, on Tuesday, I’d thrown the towel in and went, ‘I can’t do it,’ I sat in a corner and cried. Jules was standing there and went, ‘When you’re ready, bro… we’ve got to get this done’.”
