EastEnders confirm Joel outcome in early BBC iPlayer release as the police come calling
Twisted Joel Marshall (Max Murray) has finally been arrested.
As viewers have seen, Joel, alongside Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall), has been indoctrinated into a vicious online community of misogyny, and last week the severity of their behaviour escalated.
Following an incident at school where the two had played explicit content to their fellow pupils, a row broke out with Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) which turned into a physical fight.
Everyone in the community had differing opinions on what happened, with Joel’s dad Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) adamant that he wasn’t capable of assaulting someone.
Sadly, later in the evening, he was proved wrong.
Ross had left the family home after punching his fist against the door in frustration at Joel, leaving partner Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) alone in the house with the teen.
He first took his anger out on the living room wall, but things would soon escalate when the argument continued in the kitchen.
When she told him that she’s far stronger than he’ll ever be, he launched his fist towards her face, knocking her onto the floor and into a state of shock.
Joel then pulled out his phone and began to record her, as he kicked her body and she whimpered in fear, unable to move.
Joel goes into hiding
In today’s instalment, Joel rushed to Tommy for help. He told him that a row had broken out with Vicki and he’d shoved her, and needed to lie low for a while.

Tommy had no idea what had actually happened, and allowed him to hide away in the Slaters’ garage.
Across the Square, Vicki stumbled into the pub and collapsed on the floor, with the residents horrified to see her in such a state. They immediately jumped to the conclusion that Joel was responsible.
When a gobsmacked Ross arrived, he once again shut down any claims that his son would be capable of doing such an act, and headed to the hospital.
There, the police asked him a series of questions concerning his movements at the time of the attack. It was clear that they were pinning the blame on Ross as a result of his bloodied knuckles.
Zoe reminds Tommy of the family’s strength
As Tommy watched out of the window at the ambulance rushing Vicki to A&E, he looked visibly spooked – he knew that Joel had lied to him.

Zoe (Michelle Ryan) could see her brother’s unusual behaviour, and reminded him that he came from one of the strongest families on the Square.
She went on to recall the time Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth) was domestically abused by Trevor Morgan (Alex Ferns).
While not directly addressing Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) sexual abuse from her uncle as a teenager, Zoe did say that she is the strongest of the clan and Tommy is fortunate to have been raised by her.
She urged him to do the right thing.
Ross realises the sickening truth
Returning home from the hospital, Ross opened Joel’s laptop, and among the gross videos from influencer Drake Zagan was a video of him attacking Vicki.

However, on this occasion, it was the end of the road.
Armed police stormed into the Slaters’ garage and arrested Joel, as an emotionless Ross watched on.
But who reported him, and how did the police know where Joel was hiding? We’re keeping that one under our hat, you’ll have to tune into the episode yourself to find out!
