SOAP star Balvinder Sopal has posted a ‘massive Christmas spoiler’ according to EastEnders fans.

The 46-year-old has returned to the BBC show whilst on break from Strictly rehearsals.

 

Balvinder is best known for portraying Suki Panesar-Unwin in the BBC’s flagship soap.

The character quickly became a fan favourite, notably for dramatic storylines including her relationship with Eve Unwin.

Suki and Eve became the first lesbian couple to marry on the show — their wedding took place during the New Year’s Day episode on January 1, 2025.

Now, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a ‘massive Christmas spoiler’ in one of Balvinder’s Instagram stories.

The star is currently filming scenes for the show in between breaks from Strictly rehearsals.

Balvinder posted a snap of her eating a breakfast snack on set.

But in the background appears a hospital bed and fans are questioning whether it could be on-screen wife Eve.

One user said: “Suki is sitting at somebody’s bedside! Is it Eve?”

“They never have a single Christmas or New Year in peace,” added another.

This week eagle-eyed BBC viewers have also been left speculating that Gina Knight, who is played by Francesca Henry has quit the show.

The actress, 30, has been confirmed for a brand new theatre show called Clause & Effect, alongside ex-EastEnders star Richard Blackwood.

The BBC usually have strict rules on what work the actors can do outside the show.

This has prompted fans to share their concerns that another Walford star may be potentially leaving the show.

However, a show insider has confirmed to The Sun that fans needn’t fear – as Francesca isn’t going anywhere.

They told us: “It’s really common for actors on EastEnders to work on other projects alongside the soap, and that’s exactly what Francesca is doing here.

“The character of Gina won’t go missing from screens, she is juggling the play with her filming commitments at Elstree.

“It’s no different to what several other cast members are doing at the moment – Steve McFadden, Ellie Dadd, Shane Richie and Emma Barton are all in panto this year, while Tameka Empson filmed The Celebrity Traitors earlier this year and Balvinder Sopal is doing Strictly at the same time as shooting the show. “
