EastEnders star Lacey Turner brings fans inside family holiday weeks after Stacey Slater exit
EastEnders star Lacey Turner has brought her fans inside her family holiday abroad which arrived just weeks after her Stacey Slater exit.
The actress has been playing the role of Stacey on the BBC soap since back in 2004, going on to become one of the show’s most popular ever characters.
Scenes aired last month saw Stacey torn between staying with her family or moving away from Walford to Brazil amid the constant reminders of her late former husband Martin Fowler.
In the end it was the return of Max Branning that made up Stacey’s mind after she saw him sharing a kiss with her cousin Zoe Slater.
Stacey and Max infamously had their affair exposed at Christmas in 2007, with her married to his son Bradley Branning at the time.
The exit storyline ended with Stacey leaving Albert Square in a taxi with her youngest kids Hope and Arthur, leaving behind her mum Jean, eldest child Lily and her granddaughter Charli.
Some fans are adamant that it’s not a permanent exit, with Lacey not receiving Julia’s Theme, the outro music reserved when an actor is gone for good.
Away from the soap, Lacey shares two daughters, Dusty and Gipsy, and son Trilby with her husband Matt Kay, who she married back in 2017.
Welcoming Gipsy into the world in January, Lacey was soon back in work the following month for EastEnders 40th anniversary live episode, where Martin died in Stacey’s arms following an explosion at the Queen Vic.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (October 26), Lacey revealed that she and Matt and their three children jetted off to Turkey for a break.
Sharing a video of what they got up to, Lacey showed off the lavish hotel they were staying in as Dusty and Trilby made the most of the pool on offer.
With her older children also getting on stage with a children’s entertainer, little Gipsy was spotted feasting on some spaghetti in one portion of the video.
On top of this, the family went out for dinner, with Matt seen posing with his newborn baby in a wholesome moment.
Lacey captioned the post, which was shared to her family’s account: “Family, fun and a little bit of Turkish sun.”
The comments section of Lacey’s post saw her fans having their say on the trip abroad and wishing her and her family well.
