Emmerdale’s Kim Tate wasn’t poisoned at the Dingles as culprit ‘revealed’

Emmerdale legend Kim Tate has been left battling for her life following a mysterious poisoning, but fans now believe the Dingles aren’t behind the shocking incident

During Monday’s gripping episode in the Dales (March 30), Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) organised a dinner party at Wishing Well in a bid to mend fences between her family and close friend Kim.

The Dingles and Tates have recently been feuding, prompting Lydia to try to bring everyone together to resolve their differences like grown-ups, but her efforts have only worsened matters.

While Lydia busied herself preparing the feast, which featured mushrooms gathered by Sam Dingle (James Hooton), Chas and Cain Dingle (Lucy Pargeter and Jeff Hordley) couldn’t help making quips about eliminating Kim permanently. They would shortly come true.

Meanwhile, at Home Farm, Kim was preparing for the evening when Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) expressed their worries about her attending the Dingles’ gathering alone, reports the Express.

While Kim applied her makeup, she glanced in the mirror and insisted she had nothing to fear, given Lydia’s presence. She declared, “Ok, worst-case scenario, let’s say they do wish me harm. They’re not going to do anything while we’re sat breaking bread.”

As Kim dabbed on her blusher, Graham interjected: “You don’t know what they are going to put in the bread. It might be a way for you to choose your poison.”

Back at the cottage, Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and his wife, Ruby (Beth Cordingly), turned up clutching bottles of wine just before Kim made her entrance.

Things began awkwardly between Kim and the family, but gradually they found common ground and moved beyond their feuds.

After pudding, which was an apple turnover, Kim began delivering a speech when she suddenly gasped for air, alarming the Dingles. As she wheezed and choked, Kim keeled over moments later and was rushed to the hospital.

Loal medic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) was available to treat Kim in the A&E ward, and later informed Lydia, Gabby, and Graham that Kim’s condition was consistent with mushroom poisoning.

It was a baffling diagnosis since everyone else consumed the same mushrooms and remained perfectly well. Graham began suspecting that someone had deliberately replaced Kim’s mushrooms with toxic varieties.

Nevertheless, after Graham’s quip about Kim being poisoned during their chat at Home Farm, some Emmerdale fans believe he’s the culprit and has interfered with her cosmetics.

Writing on Facebook, one sharp-eyed Emmerdale enthusiast observed: “Interesting that Graham mentioned poisoning to Kim before she went. The camera work looked as if Cain did something. Was she poisoned at Home Farm before she left to meet the Dingles?”.

A second chimed in: “Wondered if it was to do with her makeup”, while a third echoed the sentiment and penned: “Yes, odd they showed her blusher.”

“I think it was the lipstick, it seems weird showing her doing her makeup, especially in the kitchen”, speculated one fan as another added:

“Kim was putting on her makeup, maybe it was in that.”
