EastEnders’ latest pub quiz gets underway in The Vic next week, but Zoe Slater is hoping that there might be some scoring of a different kind as she plays matchmaker between Freddie and Anna!

“Anna and Freddie are clearly made for each other, but things have never quite worked out for them,” our Walford insider reminds us. “Zoe can see what good friends they are and that there is still a big spark between them. She thinks the time might be right for them to make a go of it.”

Freddie and Anna’s romantic history has been a chequered one. Their initial attraction came when Anna was dating Freddie’s best mate Bobby Beale, a situation which ended rather messily.

Then earlier this year, their second chance was scuppered when Anna discovered that her sister Gina had slept with Freddie on Christmas night!

However, Zoe hopes with a little push in the right direction from her, it might be third time lucky for the pair.

And by the end of the quiz night, she is pleased that her efforts seem to have paid off – but with Bobby Brazier and Molly Rainford both leaving the show soon, there could be storm clouds on the horizon…

“Anna recently mentioned that she was planning a big trip to Australia and seemed very excited about it,” reveals our source. “When Junior left the Square, he encouraged her not to postpone her travels, and she agreed.

“Will she be jetting off just as she and Freddie have reconnected? It’s certainly bad timing for the pair, but can love win through?”

Zoe is thrilled, but she is soon brought back to reality when she discovers that lots of negative reviews of The Vic have been posted online – and they all mention her name.

While Kat is keen to support her struggling daughter, Alfie still thinks Zoe is responsible for these targeted attacks, and he later reaches breaking point and asks her to move out.

But things quickly change when Zoe, Kat and Alfie find a threatening message in the barrel store – and it’s clear that Zoe didn’t do this herself.
