EastEnders exit ‘confirmed’ for favourite and fans are fuming
EastEnders has confirmed the devastating aftermath of Okie’s death as Teddy Mitchell confessed to his murder, despite being innocent.
As fans of the BBC soap will know, Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) held Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) hostage after he threatened to expose Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) drug operation.
It was Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) who managed to help break Harry free before Harry told the police the truth about Okie and Ravi’s criminal antics.
During the scuffle, Harry accidentally stabbed Okie with his own knife, and he died at the scene.
Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) soon arrived, and in a ploy to save his son from the police, he took the blame for Okie’s death and was arrested.
On Wednesday (November 12), available on iPlayer, Teddy was interviewed by the police, and he fabricated a false story about the events that led up to Okie’s death.
He explained that he went round to help Harry, but instead found Okie waiting with a knife. Teddy then told the story of Harry and Okie’s fight, but took the place of his son when recalling events.
Nicola (Laura Doddington), Harry, and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman) returned to Walford after being interviewed by the police, but Barney was inconsolable after discovering that his dad may be going to prison.
As morning broke in the Square, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was determined to get justice for his brother and called on Phil (Steve McFadden), who agreed to enlist Ritchie Scott (Sian Webber) to help Teddy.
Ritchie arrived at the station to see Teddy and broke the news that the police had spoken to the CPS, and things didn’t look good for him.
Later, Teddy cried as he phoned Nicola and told her that he was going to be charged with Okie’s murder. Nicola dropped the phone and broke down in tears, as she realised that her ex-partner wouldn’t be coming home.
Is this the end of Teddy Mitchell? EastEnders fans have been flooding social media with hopes that Teddy isn’t leaving the show.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “I AM NOT WELL!!!!! Poor Teddy deserved a better exit than this if this is it for him. What a poor and incredibly rushed exit for him. I am devastated! #EastEnders.”
A second added: “They better not get rid of Teddy #EastEnders.”
A third stated: “Sorry but teddy was such a great addition to the show…. the fact they’ve got rid of him is annoying me so much, if this is just so Zack and Barney can form a better relationship then f all the people who decided it #EastEnders.”
“Does this mean Teddy has left EastEnders? I would be sad to see him go, his character has really grown on me! #EastEnders,” asked one fan.
“Sad if Teddy is gone for good, incredible character. Should’ve been Ravi,” added another.
