EastEnders’ Priya ‘destroys’ Suki and Eve’s adoption chances but big news follows

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) have had a rollercoaster year in EastEnders so far, but things seemed to be on the up when they finally agreed to look into adoption.

The couple got married at the beginning of the year in a stunning ceremony, only for the wedding reception to end in disaster as Suki’s ex-husband Nish Panesar took his final revenge, by poisoning Eve and pulling Suki off a balcony.

Thankfully, both women survived while Nish met his maker, after months of terrorising them.

In the months that followed, their blissful married life hit a major obstacle when Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) fell pregnant, and Suki conspired to raise the baby as her own.

When Eve found out about this, she was horrified, and encouraged Avani to do what she felt was right for her, not what Suki wanted her to do.

Avani eventually decided to have an abortion, and Suki and Eve temporarily split.

However, the couple managed to get things back on track recently, and decided to think seriously about their future, deciding to look into adoption.

Next week, the pressure is on as they prepare for their adoption assessment while trying to encourage peace between Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and the rest of the family after recent events.

Things seem to be going well for Suki and Eve with Robin, the assessor – that is, until Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) storms in screaming the odds about Ravi.

Suki and Eve are horrified as Robin overhears everything.

As Avani and Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) join in the argument, the two women try their best to silence them to keep the assessment on track.

By the time Robin leaves, Suki and Eve agree that they cannot have Ravi staying in the house if they’re going to adopt, and they come to the decision that they must ask him to leave.

As they cautiously approach him with their decision, Ravi accepts it, but things take a worrying turn when a group of men arrive at the door and drag him away.

Thankfully, Suki and Eve later get news that they are through to the next stage of the adoption process, much to their relief, though the situation at home remains tense when Ravi returns badly beaten.

Will their family dramas continue to disrupt Suki and Eve’s adoption process, or will they be able to keep things under control long enough for things to go their way?
